There are Two Approaches to Detoxification - Innate detoxification and externally driven detoxification

Innate Detoxification - The power that made the body is the power that heals, renews, and detoxifies the body - That power exists inside of each one of us. It is our  inner physician, the body's Innate Intelligence, or what chiropractors simply call "Innate". The Body's Innate Intelligence knows perfectly what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. In the absence of interference, it is able to perfectly coordinate and control all body function, thereby maintaining the body in a state of healthy balance. To maintain that balance two complementary functions occur:

bulletDetoxification - the process of getting rid of the old, the harmful, and the toxic
bulletRenewal - the process of regeneration

Innate detoxification can only occur if there is no interference to the optimal expression of Innate Intelligence in and through your body. In chiropractic these interferences are called "subluxations" and in acupuncture they are called "blockages. The job of chiropractors and acupuncturists is to remove interference to the optimal functioning of the body, allowing the body to maintain, heal, and detoxify itself effectively.

Externally Driven Detoxification - Relies on external agents to remove toxins from the body while failing to activate the body's Innate detoxification mechanisms. Methods include:

bulletChelation - oral and IV that work chemically to remove toxins from the body. May include herbal and nutritional chelation regimens
bulletFasting and detoxification diets
bulletEnemas, colon therapy

BDRM activates the body's Innate detoxification mechanisms and uses adjunctive externally driven detoxification support, when necessary.
